Bollywood
Bollywood dance is a fusion of all types of dance forms originated in India and primarily used in Bollywood movies including dance styles such as Kathak, Bharatnatyam, Garba, Bhangra, belly dance, Latin, Hip-hop, Contemporary, Jazz, Ballroom, etc. The beauty of Bollywood dance is the intensity of expressions and the freedom of fusing all the different forms of dance to take the performance to the next level.

Hip-Hop
Hip hop is a high-energy class that infuses the latest styles of street dancing, breaking, popping, and locking. It ranges on the street dance styles primarily performed to hip-hop music or that has evolved as part of hip-hop culture. It started in the 1970s and was made popular by dance crews in the United States.

Jazz
Jazz dance is a social dance style that began at the turn of the 20th century. It is a blend of traditional African steps with European styles of movement. Jazz is centered around improvisation that allows dancers to create a conversation between the musicians, the instruments, and their bodies.

Private classes
We offer our students private classes if they would like to focus on specific growth or a subject of dance.
We also offer private classes for their personal events such as birthday dances.
Our basic subscription is for one hour per week: $85/month with a one-time $50 registration fee.
We also offer 5-month and 10-month subscription as well with a discount. Message us today!

Recital
We coordinate an annual recital for our Hip-Hop, Bollywood and Jazz dance styles every spring.
Our upcoming annual recital will be Spring 2024. It will includes all five of our locations and all age groups.
competitions
We host an annual Bollywood dance competition called Step-Up: to the beat including all the Bollywood Fusion styles such as: Bollywood, Contemporary, Bhangra, Garba, Classical, Ballroom, Hiphop and Jazz
camps
Over our summers at DFA, we are hosting an in-person camp at our Suwanee studio from June 12-June 16th 2023 for the age group 4-12. There will be activities such as games, dance, art, outdoors, cooking, and educational activities as well.
